What is Glam House?
A small nail studio in Caringbah, in the Sutherland Shire, that treats a set of nails like a piece of jewellery. The sign says Nail, Lash, Mastery. The menu is short and every price is on it. The work is sculptural: chrome florals, 3D relief, crystals, and clean French and ombre when that is the brief. It is booked online, seven days.
Who is it for?

The craft
How is a set built here?
It starts with the natural nail. Anything old comes off properly, filed thin and soaked, so the nail plate underneath is untouched. Then the base: classic acrylic for length and sculpted shapes, builder gel for strength and flex, or colour powder for dense, even colour. The artist files to your hand, not to a template, and checks both hands against each other before any colour goes near them. Gel colour is cured under the lamp so you leave dry. Art is the last layer and the reason the house exists. Chrome powder is burnished into the cured gel until it reads as metal. 3D florals and relief are sculpted in gel, petal by petal, and cured in place. Crystals are seated in gel, not glued on top, so they hold like a setting holds a stone. A clean French line or an ombre fade gets the same attention. Forty-five minutes for a plain set, longer for the sets that get photographed, at the price you were told.
